About the Artwork

“This AI pineapple art piece has been created in a way to explicitly showcase what AI looks and sounds like while machine learning is computing and creating. The synthetic voice designed by Birds on Mars was created based on the AI learning 1 hour of my natural talking voice. During this short audio clip, you can hear how the AI generates the word ‘pineapple’ based on 5 different voice models. Each model being trained at different lengths, you can hear the word become clearer at each iteration with some glitch and melody in-between. This piece invites people to listen and watch the possibilities and limitations of the current state of computational creativity.

About the Artwork

Pineapples for me are one of the fruit wonders, I grew up eating them since I was a child and I remember my mom use to have a Jar of pineapple water in the fridge because apparently it’s a great diuretic and she used to peel and wash the skin and then put it in a jar with water and drink it daily.
For this artwork I wanted to portray the pineapple as a powerful and beautiful flower among the long leaves.

For me it was a shock when I found out how and where they grow on the ground, it made me appreciate it even more.

It’s like a majestic and spectacular edible gift of nature.

Kleber Cianni

“I like to observe and collect objects that are discarded because they awaken in me creativity and imagination, causing a deep reflection on what the community lives there, what it consumes, what it takes care of, the garbage it produces.
I present myself as an instrument for the transformation and reframing of this material that no longer serves, a channel to relive and tell its story, through my art.
That’s how I communicate with the world, with my own dialect that I call “Kleberês”, my way of talking about the things that disturb or enchant me.
I don’t really understand the universe of words or numbers, that’s why I use my art-language to access a space without time, where I can play what I want, without barriers or borders. In this place I feel in the body the light present in everything, in everyone, a dip in nothing. A living inspiration in some part of the universe decides to be born right here, in me. At the moment I am a brush, color, art and artist, all together making room for the idea to take shape. I dance the emotion of those who know nothing, just feel. Focused on the process, I leave my body free to tell the images of the ancestral stories that come as breaths in my ears.
Here I exist – I belong – I am art.”

About the Artwork

An apple is an apple is an apple with a pine.
Two elements were combined in this minimalist collage in order to meet the thematic criteria. The apple being held is a relic from the past; mothers sometimes free fruit of their nutritious skin so that children will find them more delicious. My mother often gave me apples without skin. The pine attached to the stalk has been cut out from another image and is in fact the trunk of a mutilated palm tree.

Street Art and the quirkiness of European branding and logo styles are some of the artist’s inspirations. About the Artwork

The rainbows design are thirteen shapes that combine the Sierpinski fractal pattern and red, yellow, and blue color combinations to produce overlapping patterns that create a 40,320 unique eight color arrays. Iterations of these patterns have been fabricated in a variety of media and scales including drawing, digital, floor tile, Lego block, and Post-it Note. Themes that are evoked by these designs include harmony, diversity, equality, orientation, probability, and play. Much of the design is dictated by rules and properties beyond my intention and views and allow for intricate and inter-related properties to emerge. I superimpose certain meaning on them but encourage others to apply their own meaning to these shapes in an open forum of experimentation and discovery, promoting meditation as well.
