“Often while painting I listen to podcasts.
While painting this woman, I was listening to a lot of feminist podcasts, a lot of stories of what women are going through all over the world.
I called her “”You are Gold”” referring to the paint color I used but also to what I would like to say to every woman: You are Gold, please never forget it.”

Lucille Guder is a french self-taught artist living in Berlin. She started to paint during the first lockdown in 2020, as a way to fill her mind with positivity.
She uses acrylic paint, paper and real flowers to create strong, colourful, and delicate flower women.
Her heroines have no face so every woman can relate to them.
She paints to tell stories, to empower women, and to bring joy.
