This year itā€™s all about selling art online for me! Even with a couple of exhibitions coming up, my main focus will be on online sales. It allows me to reach directly to the audience, cut the middle-man and grow my own client base.

These websites come with their own audience, in some cases a very large audience, so itā€™s a very good opportunity to attract some new eyes towards your art.

It might take a little effort to attract attention while competing with so many other talented artists for visibility, but if you invest time into your promotional strategy and social media presence, you can easily redirect your fans into these online galleries in order to purchase your artworks.

Before starting with any of these platforms you should do your research and analyze which ones best fit your art practice.

And if you feel you need some extra help, Iā€™ve prepared a FREE online course on how to sell art online: check it here.

  18. I found your article incredibly informative. Your emphasis on building a strong online presence and engaging with the audience resonated with me. I would suggest two additional tips i.e collaborate with influencers. Partnering with influencers in the art or lifestyle niche can help increase your reach and introduce your work to a new audience. Look for influencers whose aesthetic aligns with your art and negotiate collaborations that benefit both parties. Secondly, offer limited edition prints. Creating limited edition prints of your artwork can create a sense of exclusivity and urgency among buyers. This can be a great way to attract collectors who are looking for unique pieces to add to their collection.

  19. Ogunlowo Omikunle Isaiah .

I am a Visual artist and a assemblage artist . I would like to know how I can freely sell my artwork to any suitable art collector through this platform . I reside in Ibafo very close to Lagos in Nigeria.

  20. I tend to disagree about Singulart. I mean, about supporting artists. I was accepted to sell there They are the only gallery on the planet that allows retuns for a YEAR! And with no questions or reasoning why, simply return and they will even pay for the shipping back while client gets back 100% of thier money after having your painting in who knows what enviorment or conditions. This only damaging for the artist. Especially in times where people are just swiping left and switching evryhting out becuase they are easily bored and want something new all time. A YEAR! Im shocked no-one complains about this online, the MOST I have ever heard is 90 days and thats still a lot. Its normally 14 days like Saatchi or a max of 30 days. But a YEAR!? People can buy for a purpose or event or a few months to showcase or stage a house and then return it without losing a DIME! In a time when everying is scamming everyone., How is that working to support the artist? Whe they already take 50% with no brick and mortars and the artist gets 50% MINUS the cost of crating and packaging fees and MINUS your memebership fees. I feel like they are, like evryone else, target artsists who already stuggle to sell. The only way to garentee sales there seem to be with the 2k a year fees so they put you front page.
