Artists you should follow #1

Being on regular contact with artists on a daily basis, it’s probably one of the most rewarding parts of my job as an art consultant. Some of these new artists I discover lead to fruitful collaborations and group exhibitions, but that’s a very long term scenario.

With this format, I want to share some artists I love following on Instagram the artists that bring me joy when they pop up on my feed.

This week’s artists you should follow.

Irene Cruz is a Spanish photographer, based in Berlin. Her work is truly amazing, producing ghostly photos in parks and woods. She is also very prolific in her career, her schedule is filled with exhibitions, fairs and projects, social media is a very good tool for her to keep her faithful fanbase up to date with her current and upcoming projects.

I don’t know much about _tatawa, her Saatchi bio says she is a mixed-media abstract artist based in Berlin. I really like how she neatly displays her pictures against the same background, creating a great sense of consistency across her feed.

I just love Libby’s colorful landscapes. On her Instagram page beyond only showing the final artwork, she invites the viewer into her studio and shows of part of the process involved in creating these artworks.

These are three artists that I felt like giving a shoutout to this week, I love meeting new artists, so show me your art! You can reach me on my Instagram @stephan.vankuyk
